Hatice Coşar, the founder of HC Seramik, is from İznik, which is the homeland of traditional Ottoman tile art. She started her journey when she was a child. In her works, she syntheses her experiences related to İznik’s tile art she gained during her educational life with the Far Eastern ceramic art she was trained for. The wall and floor tiles produced based on this synthesis are in connection with archaic Traditional Turkish arts.

Handmade tiles enable the balance between simple-luxurious for spaces by re-defining the surfaces they are applied by granting partially transparent, patchworked, opalescent, non-material, and ambiguous styles. The handmade tiles produced delicately, serve the purpose of architectural space structure on providing integrity without differentiation.

Restoring evidence in memories is the starting point of geometric compositions. The indications such as shadows and lights on the carefully designed geometrical compositions give joy for the people who feel unclear and anxious due to the confusion.
